CARE GROUPS

What are Care Groups?
Care Groups are small groups of people that meet for about an hour on the third Sunday of each month in homes or other locations. The groups spend time in fellowship, prayer, and discussion of the Bible, as they strive to encourage each other and build one another up.

Why Meet in Care Groups?
Care Groups, along with corporate worship services, are designed to follow the New
Testament pattern of discipleship, fellowship and evangelism as recorded in the book of Acts.

Acts 20:20

The Apostle Paul wrote...”You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.”

What are the benefits of joining a Care Group?

Service and Outreach: Reaching out to those in need. Service and outreach are an integral part of the Care group ministry. Together, we model the heart of Christ to others. In Luke 10, the Lord instructed us to “love your neighbor as yourself.” Care groups offer the personal opportunity to minister to others in their spiritual and physical needs, as well as share the gospel of Christ in a less formal setting.

Leadership Training: Learn to Lead. Care groups provide “on-the-job” training for those who desire to use their God-given gift of leadership within the body according to God’s Word. Through mentoring and team leadership, Care groups offer the opportunity for Christians to learn to lead, encourage and support others into the freedom found in Jesus.

A Place for You
